A wealthy young painter from Athens falls in love with a girl on the island where he vacations, but he has to return to the city, putting an end to their relationship.

After a whirlwind romance with Marina, a beautiful islander, during his summer vacation in the sun-kissed island of Hydra, Pavlos, a handsome, up-and-coming painter, returns to his hometown of Athens. Six years later, a repentant Pavlos decides to return to the blue island and Marina, intent on starting afresh and marrying her; however, an unexpected visit before his arrival turns things upside down, leading to Marina's sudden change. Will Pavlos ever discover Marina's secret and her sacrifice?
